When you have big dogs, their powerful jaws and big teeth can easily tear a small toy into pieces that can cause problems for the larger canine, toys that are small will not even last a week to them. I know this because I have experienced this first hand. I used to have a hard time looking for a toy that can withstand a beating from my 2 pit-bulls they are naturally aggressive and naturally playful.
But now since I read an article about the best chew toy for large dogs I never had a problem and I had toys that are durable and fun for my two boys. One particular toy that had proven that they are can be also enjoyed as large dog toys by my boys is Nylabone branded toys, and the Rhino cone is one of my favorites. They are made from durable and sturdy materials that can and did withstand constant gnawing by 2 pit-bulls, they even bounce on grass and Dustin and Poncho have a great time chasing this toy as it bounces around the park, easy to clean because its dishwasher safe and can be easily stored. There are a lot of large dog toys that can be bought for your large dog and it doesn’t necessarily mean that they cannot enjoy the simple things like rope toys, there are rope toys that are made especially for them.
Your dog can be big or small, they still need supervision. Always check what they play there is no such things as an indestructible toy so if a toy shows wear and tear get rid of it immediately. But with the Nylabone and the rope dog toys I bought they survived and are still in circulation as Dustin’s and poncho’s toys.
